Who we are
Plan-It Vision is led by Trevor Kokenge, a landscape professional with over a decade of experience in Seattle yards. He studied landscape architecture in college and has passed the Concrete Masonry and Hardscapes Association certification courses covering paver and retaining wall design and installation. That training shows up in the grading, the drainage and the base work, which is where hardscape either lasts or does not.
These days Trevor spends most of his time walking properties, drawing plans and writing quotes rather than on the end of a shovel. The work is carried out by our own people, to the standards he sets, and the same company stays responsible for a landscape after it is built.
The team works across a range of property types, from small residential gardens to large, sloped commercial landscapes. Projects are scoped realistically, scheduled with intention, and built by our own people rather than handed to an outside contractor who was never at the walk-through.
Clients stay with us because communication stays open and the goals get met. That means honest feedback, updates while work is happening, and steady support through the year rather than a burst of attention followed by silence.
How we think about a landscape
We take the planet into account when we make decisions about landscaping. Sunlight, slope, water flow, bloom times, seasonal change and long-term durability all interact, and all of them belong in the plan. Every job we take on is meant to fix something or prevent a bigger problem: stopping erosion, clearing overgrowth, improving how water moves, or simply making a space easier to look after.
We are a licensed and bonded contractor in Seattle. We build landscapes we have designed, and we install landscapes designed by other landscape designers. If a job is outside what we do, we will tell you and point you toward someone who handles it.
What makes the difference
A small company, on purpose
Trevor walks every property, draws the plan and writes the quote, and stays your point of contact through the job. On site you deal with the crew leader running the work, not a scheduler or an account rep.
Design and maintenance under one roof
Most companies do one or the other. We do both, so a landscape can be built and then looked after by the same company rather than handed to a stranger once the build is over.
Trained, credentialed, insured
Trevor studied landscape architecture in college and has passed the CMHA certification courses for paver and retaining wall design and installation. Members of WALP and APLD, licensed and bonded in Washington.

Grade, soil, drainage and light across the day. We ask how you use the space and what you have given up on.
Written scope
A plan and a price, with materials named and a schedule you can hold us to.
Build and keep
We build it, then we maintain it, at whatever frequency you choose.
