This is what consistent, ongoing care looks like. We maintain the gardens at a condo complex in Mountlake Terrace on a visit every 2 weeks, and the difference that rhythm makes is hard to overstate. No overgrown corners, no weeds taking hold, no shrubs swallowing the walkway. The planting still gets to breathe, flower and look natural rather than being cut into submission.
The plant variety here is considerable. Hydrangeas, ornamental grasses, euonymus, conifers and Japanese maples, mixed together in raised planters running along the building. Every species has its own growth habit and its own timing, which is why we have to stay a step ahead. Proactive trimming and pruning keeps the whole run looking intentional rather than wild.
That is the actual work behind a property like this. It is not showing up and mowing. It is knowing which shrubs are about to push into the walkway, which trees need shaping before they start looking scraggly, and where debris is collecting that should be raked out before it turns into a bigger job. All of that happens on every visit.
